NEXT MEETING at The Odyssey Sunday February 22, 2009 2:00PM SLT

1. IMPORTANT WORK for Club Owners/Managers:
By next meeting submit to Jonathon Beattie a weekly calendar of ongoing events (title/theme & times) as well as any special future events you have booked. It is also helpful to include notes on any upcoming major RL commitments so we can plan the Club Crawl to fit as many people's schedules as possible. Send to Jonathan Beattie in world through a notecard OR e-mail jonathanbeattiesl(at)gmail(dot)com

2. Mission of SL Club Network (brainstorm)
Slurpngo suggested that participating SL Club Network clubs work together and share event calendars so events aren't dupicated / times in the day are shared. We went on to discuss "prime time" for club venues and it is inevitable that club events will overlap. It was also discussed that the SL Club Network can host events / be involved with SL Pride (which will be held May 23 - 30)

3. More information on the event:
-It was decided that the event of moving from club to club over 1 - 2 days would be called a "Club Crawl"
-There would be no individual themes for each venue - it is a "Come as you are" event
-The theme & Timeline for the event would be SL Spring Break. This would also allow additional promotion for any "spring Break" events clubs were holding during the week following the Club Crawl
- Janeforyou Barbara Owner of 5 sims would like to bring her club "The Oasis" on board with the SL Club Network, and offer The Oases as a venue for the event.
-Mirah suggests we increase each club set from 90 minutes to 2 hours
-The On-going discussion of DJ streams for the event was started -It was decided a working group will discuss the details, benefits & drawbacks of DJ streams for the event. MattKR, Jonathon B, and with support of Mirah will work out some suggestions on DJ streams (renting our own vs. using the DJ stream & technical considerations) and bring the information to a future meeting for a final decision. -
The teleport prim for clubs during the event can be a globe or our Logo
-As soon as dates / times / & order of venues is confirmed Jonathon Beattie will create the club "tour" shirt

4. SL Club Network Logo
-Dyann lead a brainstorm for visuals & themes to be included in our Network logo. These include:
  1. A World globe
  2. Rainbow
  3. "Second Life Club Network" or "SL Club Network"
  4. male & male / female & female symbols
  5. LGBTQ
-Any additional suggestions on the logo or any visuals for the SL Club Network can be forwarded to Dyann McMinnar

5. What skills / talents / networking do we have within the group already?
MattKR - Publicity to friends - well known in SL, Building, Scheduling Staff, Scripts, DJing, Reasearching things in world & online
Dyann - Graphics & visuals
Jonathan S.- Organizing, Planning & management
TerryBear - Online 16 hours a day typically. Can be the In-World contact for the SL Club Network
Revan - Building
Nidge - European - Can work with drawing Euro crowds to events
Mirah - DJing

6. Considerations for a Work Plan for the Spring Break Pub Crawl
-Times & Dates for the event
-Order of participating clubs
-Advertising & Promotion
-Transport system between clubs
-Technical Issues / Support for each club before & during event (set up)
-Back up staff - DJ's & Hosts
-Freebies / give aways for the event
